* Never miss breakfast. See to it that this is the first meal of the day whatever be the time.

* Most companies now provide recreation centres and gym facilities for employees. Check out on these and make the best use of them.
How to improve family life
* Have a frank talk with the family about the demands of a night shift. Make them understand your situation and the impact your job is having on you.
* Try to schedule time wit friends and family into your waking hours and off days.
* Try to make good friends in your work circle to make up for lost friendships due to the night shift.
* Hang up a big message board at home so that all the family members can exchange notes and inform each other about their plans for the day.
* Plan for family outings at least once a month.
How to tackle lack of alertness
* Always work in a brightly lit atmosphere
* Do not take up sensitive work that would involve important decisions when you are feeling sluggish
* Keep taking short walks either inside the work area or outside whenever you can do so
* Stretching exercises are very important. Keep stretching your limbs and changing your posture. Try to alternate between sitting, standing and walking whenever you find time. Snack on fruits and salads whenever you feel hungry. Avoid sweets that will give you a temporary high
* Try to take short power naps during break. This will rejuvenate you
* You could take a cup of tea or coffee - only when you really need to be shaken awake
* Try to vary your daily routine so that you don't get stuck in a rut.
As you can see, you don't have to get stressed out just because you are on a night shift. Tackle the problem sensibly and you will get on top of the situation in no time. Take good care of your health and you will be able to face any problem successfully.

*Three women in North Florida , turned up at hospitals over a 5-day
period,
all with the same symptoms. Fever, chills, and vomiting, followed by
muscular collapse, paralysis, and finally, death. **
There were no outward signs of trauma.
Autopsy results showed toxicity in the blood. These women did not know
each
other, and seemed to have nothing in common. **I**t was discovered,
however,
that they had all visited the same Restaurant (Olive Garden) within days
of
their deaths. The health department descended on the restaurant,
shutting it
down. The food, water, and air conditioning were all inspected and
tested,
to no avail. **
The big break came when a waitress at the restaurant was rushed to the
hospital with similar symptoms. She told doctors that she had been on
vacation, and had only went to the restaurant to pick up her check. She
did
not eat or drink while she was there, but had used the restroom. That is
when one toxicologist, remembering an article he had read, drove out to
the
restaurant, went into the restroom, and lifted the toilet seat. Under
the
seat, out of normal view, was a small spider.
The spider was captured and brought back to the lab, where it was
determined
to be the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata), so named because
of
its reddened flesh color. This spider's venom is extremely toxic, but
can
take several days to take effect. They live in cold, dark, damp
climates,
and toilet rims provide just the right atmosphere.
Several days later a lawyer from Jacksonville showed up at a hospital
emergency room. Before his death, he told the doctor, that he had been
away
on business, had taken a flight from Indonesia , changing planes
inSingapore, before returning home He did not visit (Olive Garden),
while
there. He did, as did all of the other victims, have what was determined
to
be a puncture wound, on his right buttock.
Investigators discovered that the flight he was on had originated in
India .
The Civilian Aeronautics Board (CAB) ordered an immediate inspection of
the
toilets of all flights from India , and discovered the Two-Striped
Telamonia
(Telamonia dimidiata) spider's nests on 4 different planes!
It is now believed that these spiders can be anywhere in the country.

AN Australian infertility study has revealed disturbing levels of vitamin D deficiency among men who are unable to impregnate their partners.
The discovery surprised Sydney researchers investigating the incidence of DNA fragmentation of sperm, a significant factor in male infertility.
Sunlight is the major source of vitamin D, which helps regulate levels of calcium and phosphorous to generate healthy bones.
Fertility specialist Dr Anne Clark screened the blood of almost 800 men with fertility problems, finding almost a third had lower than normal levels of vitamin D.
"In a significant number of these men, there were also elevated levels of homocysteine, an amino acid in the blood associated with cell toxicity, and deficiency in folate, which is essential for healthy new cells," said Dr Clark, medical director of the treatment centre Fertility First.
"Men in the study group who agreed to make lifestyle changes and take dietary supplements had surprisingly good fertility outcomes." Dr Clark said the study's results were unexpected.
"Vitamin D and folate deficiency are known to be associated with infertility in women, but the outcomes of the screening among men in our study group came as a complete surprise."
Dr Clark said concerns about skin cancer could be a contributing factor to vitamin D deficiency among men, along with work and lifestyle choices, avoiding too much direct sunlight exposure.
"If that is the case, one wonders if the outcomes in the study group also raise the possibility of significant vitamin D deficiency in the broader public, and its effect on fertility levels," she said.
Of the 794 men tested, 58 per cent were shown to have high levels of DNA fragmentation, according to results to be presented at a national fertility conference in Brisbane tomorrow.
About 100 of the men agreed to quit smoking, minimise or stop their intake of caffeine and alcohol, reduce weight and take a three-month course of vitamins and antioxidants before commencing fertility treatment.
Most significantly improved their sperm quality and 40 per cent went on to achieve a clinical pregnancy, with 11 occurring naturally.
"The results clearly show that lifestyle changes and dietary supplements can be beneficial for the conception of a healthy on-going pregnancy," Dr Clark said.

1. Dont be stagnated
Make it a daily challenge to find ways to move your body. Climb stairs if given a choice between that and escalators or elevators. Walk your dog; chase your kids; toss balls with friends, mow the lawn. Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, it's a stress buster. Think 'move' in small increments of time. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute aerobic dance class or tai chi or kickboxing. But that's great when you're up to it. Meanwhile, move more.
2. Avoid cholestral Food
Avoid the obvious such as fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats (i.e. pork, bacon, ham, salami, ribs and sausage). Garlic is another natural antibiotic mentioned frequently in the Bible and used as an herb by Egyptian and other healers of antiquity. Compared on an equal weight basis, penicillin is 50 times stronger than allicin, the active ingredient in garlic. The antibiotic activity of 1 milligram of allicin equals the antibiotic activity of 15 units of penicillin. Garlic can also be consumed as a preventive against infection, whereas antibiotic drugs can only be prescribed after an infection is diagnosed. About the ENZYMES
The subject of living foods, in and of it self, could cover a dozen articles. It is one of the most important areas of human nutrition, yet is one of the biggest deficiencies known to date.
